Kyle Animal Hospital is a full service small animal veterinary hospital. We have been serving the Kyle/Buda area pet family members since 1996. We started off as a 2 person professional corporation in an 1100 SF rental space just up the road, next to the Sac N Pac. We moved into our current facility in 2002. Dr. Mathews still remembers those days 20 years ago when he saw 3 patients a day--these days it's much busier, with many more staff and doctors, but we still strive for that personal service that comes from being a small, local hospital serving a residential area
Doctor's hours are by appointment, although we see walk-ins as time allows. In addition, you may drop off your pet for later pick up if that is more convenient. We contact you prior to any procedures not authorized at drop off. If you drop your pet off, please have your pet here before 8:00 AM. Allow 20 minutes for the admissions process, as a technician fully explains the procedures and goes over paperwork with you.
Please see--new cancellation policy. As we all know, the Kyle/Buda area is a great place to live—the word is out and we are one of the fastest growing areas in the nation. We have recently hired additional staff /veterinarians and undergone a physical expansion of our building in an attempt to keep up with demand without drastically increasing the costs of delivering high quality veterinary care. At the same time, we do not double book appointments as many professionals do and every appointment slot matters. We are rapidly approaching a point where every appointment made takes a spot from someone else who needs it. For this reason, no-show appointments are a significant obstacle to being able to continue to be available to provide high quality care at a reasonable price. Effective August 2017, we have instituted the following policy for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time:
1) New clients not affiliated with our hospital will be billed $58.00, our standard office call fee.
2) Existing clients will have a notation in their file, and on subsequent cancellations will be billed $58.00.
3) If an existing client fails more than twice, they will be asked to leave a $58.00 deposit on booking subsequent appointments.
4) New clients booking a premium appointment (Saturdays and holidays) will be asked to leave a $58.00 deposit upon booking. This deposit will be refunded if the appointment is cancelled with over 24 hours’ notice or applied to the invoice for the visit if the appointment is kept.
At Kyle Animal Hospital, we understand that high-quality veterinary care is expensive. We do everything we can to provide this care at as low cost as possible, but we do not sacrifice offering the highest quality care available.
We take a strong stand against "selling by price alone," which we believe deteriorates markets, and ultimately hurts consumers by restricting companies from investing in personnel and technology. We make every effort to invest in technology, personnel training, and continuing education. Be assured that our choice of therapeutics, anesthetic agents, laboratory services, and employees are not dictated by price alone.
Cash, check, and major credit cards are accepted forms of payment. In addition, we accept installment plans for higher invoices. We recommend CareCredit healthcare financing plans for all clients.
