Dr. Guy Mathews is a 1993 honors graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. His special interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and critical care medicine.
Dr. Mathews has been with Kyle Animal Hospital since the first client walked through the door in June of 1996
Dr. Dan Nowland is a 1984 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr. Nowland's special interests include orthopedic surgery, dermatology, and emergency medicine. Drs. Dan and Sally Nowland head the operation of our sister hospital, Springtown Veterinary Hospital.
Between Kyle Animal Hospital and our sister hospital, Springtown Veterinary Hospital in San Marcos, we have nine veterinarians with almost two centuries of combined experience.
We also heavily utilize the services of surrounding specialists and emergency hospitals. If your pet needs more advanced medicine, diagnostics, surgery, or other procedures than we are comfortable performing, we will not hesitate to call in specialists such as MVS Austin, or refer you to area specialty hospitals such as Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital, Capital Area Veterinary Specialists, Mission Veterinary Specialists, or South Texas Veterinary Specialists.
Because we are the largest combined practice between Austin and San Antonio, your pet receives the benefits of our pooled knowledge without sacrificing the personal relationships so critical to good communication. At the same time, all of our vets are committed to maintaining the high standards of best medicine first that Dr. Mathews and Nowland started with over 20 years ago. We may add staff, but we do not change core values.
To maintain this consistent communication between clients and veterinarians, we usually keep the same veterinarians at each hospital so that your pet is normally seen by the same doctor.
At this time, Drs. Mathews, Offermann, Laukkanen, Brady, and Kasiraj are the primary veterinarians at Kyle Animal Hospital, while Drs. Nowland, Seaton, and Jordon spend the majority of their time at Springtown Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Cord Offermann joined our practices in October of 2006 after spending three years as a small animal/exotic animal practitioner in Canyon Lake. Dr. Offermann is a 2003 graduate of Colorado State University, and has a special interest in exotic animals, primarily reptiles.
Dr. Amanda Brady joined us in May, 2016. Dr. Brady grew up in Nebraska, and studied biology at Kansas State University. She graduated from veterinary school at KSU in 2014. Dr. Brady practiced in Lubbock for 2 years (at a sister clinic of where, coincidentally, Dr. Mathews got his start in Lubbock) before joining our practice. She has a special interest in internal and feline medicine.
Dr. Brady and her husband Chad have 2 cats, Daisy and Winchester. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, especially cross-country motorcycle trips, and spending time outdoors.
The 2 Drs. Nowland and Dr. Seaton spend the majority of their time with our sister hospital Springtown Veterinary Hospital in San Marcos. You may see them around though, as they do fill in with us on an as-needed basis.
Dr. Sally Nowland is a 1984 honors graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a board-certified ABVP Specialist. Her special interests include internal medicine, avian medicine, and exotic animal medicine.

Dr. Dana Greenleaf was actually born and raised in southeastern Mississippi and has had a passion for animals for as long as she can remember. She received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA, and she is a 2009 honors graduate of the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. She has spent the past 9 years as a small animal practitioner in a high quality, 24-hour hospital in northeastern Pennsylvania. Her special interests include internal medicine, feline medicine, dentistry, and pain management.
She and her husband Joseph have three cats, (Simon, Francesca and Cricket) who are undoubtedly spoiled along with a son, Emmett (who they are trying NOT to spoil!) Dr. Greenleaf truly does love getting to interact with clients and their furry loved-ones on a daily basis.
